I made a rather bad speedrun attempt on Midbyte, the game I first released on Game Jolt back in May.
Over time, updates were published and now it's at V1.0.4. And there's the upcoming V2... Not anytime soon, though.
Anyway, the speedrun attempt. I had to make a run to request a game on speedrun.com. I haven't heard of the decision yet. It might just "take a while"...
Well, if you (AN ACTUAL PERSON READING THIS) want to see my terrible run of my own game the link is right here:

Haven't used Blogger in a while, huh?
Had school, now it's summer break once more. Yay.
Let's see...
SpaceX is ready and I'm not going to make SpaceXtended anytime soon.
Midbyte is done and released, expecting an update in the future...
Ayrayen's game isn't going anywhere before August or something...
BBNR is... something, I dunno. I think I should "start over"...
Check out my own crappy Game Jolt site. https://aleksi_allu13.gamejolt.io/
I don't know what I'm going to do with my 2 free months, maybe some project builds, I dunno...
That's all for now...

Midbyte's out on GJ
Midbyte has been in development for a couple of months already and finally available for the public.
Check it out. Give it a rating, will ya?
Available on Midbyte's own page, too!
NOTE:
Midbyte is categorized as a "Rage Platformer", therefore it's DIFFICULT ON PURPOSE.
Play if you don't care.
Looking forward to feedback........

A Pointless Post!
I literally have nothing significant to write here...
Well, spend another 7-8€ buying these albums on Bandcamp...
Cally's Caves 2 OST - A weird game with good music.
Cally's Caves 3 OST - A weird sequel with good music.
Now I have 9 items in my album...
I just throw my money away...
Midbyte's... doing slowly again. Where the hell's Ayrayen?
Leaving again for now. Posting if something interesting enough comes up.

Cave Invasion's place on the jam
We placed 43rd.
Not really what I expected...
Even Treasure Trap scored better.
Well, I'm not too negative about it. We gave it our all. I hope at least...
This was the first game I ever took part in for a jam.
Well, off to finish Midbyte I go...

I want to point out... (about GM48 Entry "Cave Invasion")
The game's... rather buggy. Just wow, FDT.
So far, there's only 2 forms of feedback, mostly bringing up the bugs. Sure, FDT did try to make the game quickly and efficiently. I hope...?
Now, I think I mentioned this before, but just in case I didn't, I'll just say it again.
I am going to make my own version of Cave Invasion "post-jam" and see "who's the better programmer..." Nah, I just wanna use my own art and add more to it.
However, I'm already stuck with Midbyte and other plans I've decided to take on (including SpaceXtended, still thinking about that...) so this one has to wait for a long time...
See Jam Entry (just in case you missed it...)
Currently, I think I have well over 20 "different" game ideas in total.
...I think I have to search for helping hands...
That's all for now.

I am participating in a project for a GM48 jam.
I've "teamed up" with FlyingDeathToaster to create a small game for a jam. With two days of time, some progress is already made.
I'm mostly responsible of the game's graphics as FDT is responsible of coding. (Hope it works...)
Hopefully the game's gonna be good and ready by the deadline.
Game's current name:
The game's a scrolling shooter, sort of a bullet hell game. (This may change?)
The main purpose is to survive as long as possible while ranking up the score.
Being an "endless runner" type of game, there's no real victory.
After the jam, FDT will upload the game on Game Jolt.

What the hell have I done lately?
I used a lot of money, is what I did.
I bought Frogatto & Friends for... who knows, around 9€ through Humble Bundle.
I also bought the "Hooked on Multiplayer" Bundle, that's another 9€.
Then... I bought a lot of music from Bandcamp:
Impossible Pixel by twoplayer for 5€ (with a message),
Retro Revive by Eliteferrex for 10€,
Only Built 4 Sausage Links and Knock Knock by Scattle for a total of 7€,
Super Sweet Boy: Music from SMB 5th Anniversary by Laura Shigihara for 3€,
Songs in the Key of Meat: Music from SMB 5th Anniversary by Ridiculon for 5€

Oh, I wish I could write a message to all of these amazing composers... Actually, is that still possible?
I encourage you to check these out.
That's... around 55€... Money well spent. :P

PS. I might regret these purchases later... Oh well, at least I tried to support the aforementioned...

A pixel profile pic for no real reason.
I drew him a pixelated profile pic.
Dunno if he's gonna use it or not.
Drawn 'cause boredom.
Don't care if not accurate.

Yet another quick game idea! Why?!
I seem to have some gift of coming up with the most random things...
If this becomes a real project as well, it has to be after Midbyte. I can't make two games at once, it's literally impossible for me...
No, wait... Actually, it isn't.
I could create concept and come to a decision to make it. Because it's yet another idea I consider "having good concept".
Like all the time.

Minesweeper addiction
A comic I made on MS Paint for fun... funfunfunfun.... |
Minesweeper. That simple yet f*cking addicting game. I have played SO many games on it...
I beat it multiple times (even on Expert) and I'm still coming back for more.
My winning ratio is very small (especially on Expert for those f*cking annoying f*cking 50/50 chances, just like in the f*cking comic).
However, it is maybe a bit too addicting sometimes.
I remember having played it for some time and I started seeing numbers and bombs on my school's halls (along with a headache).
I usually end up playing it during free time when I have nothing to do. Makes sense, right? Well, how about opening it up during a lesson? I've done that many times...
Another addicting game I like to play over and over is Solitaire. But what the hell would you do with that info, anyway?
This post, it's so pointless.
Just One Glass - Another goddamn game idea, again!
A man (who doesn't really remember anything) getting involved with something out of his control, and it all starts with... Just One Glass. (Hehe)
I was thinking of creating a story split to three Chapters:
- A Girl and a Glass
- Forgotten Memories
- Beyond My Control
I've already tried (for just a couple of minutes) to create a design for the protagonist.
Suggest him a name, maybe?
First design. Started with just lines this time, aiming for "realism"... Not gonna work, I know. |
Updated. |
Hey, have an animated GIF for the hell of it. |
Jesus Christ, this thumbnail design... |
I want opinions!!!

Pros and Cons: YouTubers (Markiplier)
Note: This is my personal opinion about Markiplier! If yours differs, do NOT complain about it...
Pros:
- Markiplier makes fun content (for me, most of the time).
- He donates to charity. He's a nice guy. He's polite. Pretty much like that 99% of the time...
- He appreciates everything his fans do for him. (Involves fan games and videos)
- He makes funny shorts that I like to watch a few times over again.
- He has fun characters. (Wilford Warfstache, Tiny Box Tim, Darkiplier etc.)
Cons:
- ...I have a hard time to actually come up with any cons. Uh... Sometimes he's not so fun, I guess?
- He puts his fans before his own health. I guess...? That's not good...
Do I like Markiplier?
YES. I find this guy funny and entertaining. I don't watch him 24/7 but who would do that anyway??
Markiplier, you'll never see this, but I appreciate what you do. Never stop (until that's impossible...)!
What would happen if he actually saw this and I knew about it?
- I'd kill myself out of shame...
I might delete this post.

Midbyte - "Another school project"
I came up with yet another game idea put into development, Midbyte. It's going to be a "retro platformer in just two colors", possibly with local 2 Player Mode.
The name of the game comes from the words "Midnight" and "Byte", not that you do anything with this info...
What would it include:
- 3 Worlds, 10 Levels and a Boss each
- Music by Ayrayen (Let's see how this goes...)
- Simplistic gameplay and visuals
Unlike SpaceX, this game isn't really under any deadlines... It should be done quickly as it includes quite little content.
Read the Devlog on Game Jolt:

"Lumph's Adventure - The Seven Stones" RPG idea?
I come up with stories (that I consider great) way too often...
I've come up with yet another "great game idea", titled "Lumph's Adventure - The Seven Stones". Your typical RPG, this game would be pretty much like that. Lots of text to read, locations to explore, turn-based battle mechanics, lots of quests etc.
The plot is incomplete and I haven't designed the game yet, either.
I'm planning on actually sketching the characters before drawing them for the game.
I think I could use Photo Story 3 generated songs (that I've already made) in the game. Being good (IMO) I might use them in other games as well.
I want to make this game so badly... But I think I'll try and make BBNR first...
...
Actually, since Deemo-R is taking his time with the music, I could focus on this project a bit more...
I wish to receive even a single opinion about this...
That's all for now.

A passing thought: Make a depressing game
The title says it all. I have a ridiculous game idea.
My inspiration comes from my depression and Photo Story 3's capabilities.
Possible title: Broken Mind
You figure out the rest...

Nothing important to say...
I wanted to make a post, so... Might as well write something...
One thing is: I'm helping to make Happy Block Platforming, as I mentioned in my "Game collaboration" post. Currently the menu theme's my "Blue Lights" I generated with Photo Story 3...
Actually, I made a video for it. Enjoy!
...
I don't think there's anything more, really... Well, except for one.
How is my channel and its videos seen around the world??
I am one of billions of people! There are people that make better content (I think...).

Yeah, that's all. For now, anyway...

SpaceX
You might be wondering... Aah, who am I kidding? No one's there, right? But enough of that. I don't care anymore. (Go to hell, you...)
SpaceX is a school project I started over two weeks ago.
It's basically a space-themed retro-style shoot-em-up.
It includes simple controls, a "retro filter", a boss and 11 medals.
What settings are there:
- Difficulty (Easy, Hard)
- Delete Save Data (permanent)
- Default resolution (my solution to fix the screen back to default size)
Game saves when:
- GAME SAVED pops on the screen
Game loads:
- At startup
Controls:
Mouse - Click buttons
Keyboard - Gameplay
I think I'm going to make 2 versions of the game.
The first will be the result of this school project and the second may be a future project I'll pick up and enhance.
UPDATE TO THIS IDEA: I was thinking of creating a "sequel/expansion" called SpaceXtended... Yeah, funny name. That game'd include a lot more than SpaceX. Keep your eye out for any future notice...
SpaceX is out:
http://gamejolt.com/games/spacex/230335
Leave a rating if you can. Helps me know if it was worth it...

Game collaboration
I'm currently doing 3 games:
BBNR which slowly progresses,
SpaceX which is a school project
and Happy Block Platforming.
Well, actually that's incorrect. I'm HELPING to make the game.
Happy Block Platforming, or HBP is a Work In Progress by FlyingDeathToaster on Game Jolt (and ITCH.io).
What I'm helping with is graphics and gameplay. I think I'm responsible for the boss battles, too...
I won't get profit of this project but my interest for it is all that really matters to me.
HBP will happen. I'm sure of it.
UPDATE: Apparently Game Maker Player is shutting down... The game's older version is still available but eventually it will be gone...

Hope you'll have a great year.
I hope to finish BBNR's demo ASAP so you'll get to play it.
